Well, time flies and you get busy. Unexpected things happen. You forget things. The other day it dawned on me that Lawn Chair Kings have been a band for over 25 years. We started back in 2000, and it's already like, 2026. So let's have a party! Our origins are in the streets of Durango, and we will celebrate at a newly refurbished venue in town, the American Legion, on Saturday, April 18. This will be a show for the people and all of our fans over the years. In true Fugazi style, there will be a $5 cover. Tips appreciated! Lawn Chair Kings return to the high country on Memorial Day weekend.

Dolores River Boating Advocates will be hosting their 12th annual permit party on January 24th, 2025 from 6-10pm at the Dolores Community Center. The event is a fundraiser to support the work they do to advocate for, steward, and connect our community with the Dolores River. Food from Kelly’s Kitchen, local beer from Dolores River Brewery, WildEdge, Mancos Brewing, and Telluride Brewing, cider from Fenceline, and and assortment of wines will all be available for purchase. Entertainment will include a photo booth, and live music from Lawn Chair Kings. The event also hosts an amazing selection of auction items including boating gear, outdoor gear, trips, art, gift certificates, and more! Lawn Chair Kings will play at Mt. Lookout Grange on Sunday, May 5. It is helping a great cause, as the Grange works to improve the economic well-being, social connectedness, and quality of life for our rural community. There will be a Maypole ceremony, food, drink, and much merriment. Please join the fun and support a vital community organization!

Ska officially gets the 2022 spring season started with the first tap of Mexican Logger. Lawn Chair Kings will play from 5:30-7:30, and will feature a special guest, Isaac Kimbro, who will play drums and keyboard.

Mt. Lookout Grange's 5th Annual Pig Roast! Featuring a delicious local meal sourced from the Mancos Valley, local drinks from Dolores River Brewery, Mancos Brewing Company and Fenceline Cider and live music from The Lawn Chair Kings (starting around 5:00). Gate opens at 4 pm. Meal is served from 4:30-6:30. Tickets for the meal are $30 each available at Fahrenheit Coffee Roasters, Mancos Brewery, Fenceline Cider and at the door. Kids under 12 eat free. Cash bar. A limited number of tickets for the meal are available! $5 entry cover charge without the meal. Come have fun either way!
